Season of Advent

Devotional Resources

Advent and Christmas are fast approaching. December can often feel like a whirlwind. We race through the days, trying to fill them with all the earthly joys of the Christmas season. But in the midst of the busyness, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and drained. This Advent, we invite you to slow down and find true joy and rest in the real reason for the season. Advent is a time to prepare our hearts for the birth of our Savior Jesus. He alone offers the joy and peace that our hearts long for.

To help you and your family focus on the true meaning of Christmas, we’ve put together a resource of free Advent devotionals. We pray this will be a blessing to you as you draw near to Christ and celebrate His coming.

Christ Is the World's Light

Martin Luther College's Advent devotional, "Christ is the World's Light," is a perfect way to explore the meaning of the Advent candles. With 25 devotions for December 1-25, it pairs beautifully with the lighting of the Advent wreath. As we light a new candle each week our anticipation grows through Scripture and reflection on the hope, peace, joy, and love Christ's coming brings. Follow the link to read online.
